Holocaust Memorial Day Resources
Holocaust Memorial Day – 27th January.
Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. Many schools use this time to teach their students about how people around the world have been affected by Genocide, giving them opportunities to understand, discuss and empathise with this complex topic.
This year the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust has produced a free assembly for secondary schools which an be delivered on or around 27 January. It introduces students to Holocaust Memorial Day, and how we can mark it. Students will learn about how people around the world have been affected by genocide, and what we can do today.
