FREE Classroom Posters: ‘The British Sector of the Western Front 1914-18: Injuries, Treatment and the Trenches’
If you are teaching Pearson Edexcel ‘The British Sector of the Western Front 1914-18: Injuries, Treatment and the Trenches’ we have the ideal resource to help you decorate your classroom whilst helping your students develop their ability to evaluate a range of source materials.
Created in conjunction with Nathalie Harty, who has over 16 years teaching experience, 13 as Head of the History Department, and designed by Frank Toogood the man who produced our wonderful Surgery & Treatment Aide Memoire, each Window to the PAST presents a students with a different source. Each one asks students to consider why the source is useful and what evidence it provides then allows them to add material from their own knowledge. There’s even scope for them to identify their own source and evaluate it along the lines set out in the other examples.
These unique resource is available absolutely free of charge to all schools who travel on a Surgery & Treatment tour with Anglia in the next 12 months. All you have to do is ask your Tour Coordinator for a copy when you book.
And don’t forget the itinerary for Anglia’s Surgery and Treatment on the Western Front tour is still the only one to have been endorsed by Pearson Edexcel as ‘an engaging and relevant introduction to the warfare context and historical environment of Medicine on the Western Front. This tour will bring the topic alive for students, helping them to visualise the more physical problems of the environment in a way which a text book cannot.’
