New York
The gateway to the United States, New York City is an exciting destination for school groups.
From the iconic sight of the Statue of Liberty and the history of Immigration through Ellis Island, to the attractions of Times Square, Broadway and the Empire State Building, New York has something to offer everyone.
Groups studying the Civil Rights Movement can visit Harlem, undertaking a walking tour in the company of local guides, whilst English departments can follow in the footsteps of F Scott Fitzgerald and his characters.
In September 2011 the new National September 11 Memorial and Museum is due to open on part of the site of Ground Zero where the new World Trade Center is currently under construction.
